Volunteers needed to serve Single mothers - Christian Automotive Ministries (CAM) invites you to join them in serving the automotive needs of single mothers in our community through Car Care Saturday. There are volunteer opportunities to service cars, to mentor juvenile offenders, to work with children, to prepare and serve food, or to minister to adults while their cars are being serviced. Car Care is hosted the 3rd Saturday morning of each month, April - November, with each volunteer team serving four Saturday mornings per year. Volunteer Opportunities available with the Peoples Clinic - The Volunteer Ministry Center (VMC) is a non-profit, interfaith agency serving the homeless of Knoxville. Our mission is to restore dignity and productivity to lives, by providing programs that help them achieve their highest level of self-sufficiency. The People’s Clinic is a caring and compassionate team of excellent medical professionals, and other dedicated clinic volunteers. VMC currently has two volunteer opportunities available at the People’s Clinic for a Nurse (RN/LPN/NP) and Clinic Receptionist (no experience necessary for receptionist). Beginning March 2007, we are adding a Wednesday morning clinic. The hours are 9:00 am – 12: noon. A three to twelve hour a month commitment is appreciated. Free Books for Infants and Preschoolers - The Imagination Library provides free, new, age-appropriate books to any child from birth until the fifth birthday. Books are mailed to the home each month. This service is available at no charge to the family, and families with multiple children can receive different books for each child! Please help us pass this blessing on to all of the children in your congregation or community.
