The COMPASSION COALITION FURNITURE MINISTRY is specifically in need of washers & dryers, refrigerators, baby beds & other baby equipment, mattresses of all sizes, and couches & loveseats. Please email Charlotte Mack at charlotte@compassioncoalition.org or call 865-251-1591 ext 251 if you can donate any of these items to this ministry.
ANGELIC MINISTRIES is in need of new underwear for their clients. Donations of any size and for either sex would be greatly appreciated. Additionally, Angelic Ministries provides one-time emergency food boxes to families who are referred by a local church or agency. They are running very low on non-perishable food that a family could use to survive a food emergency. If you are able to assist with this either of these needs, donations are gratefully accepted from Tuesdays – Fridays from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. – Noon. Feel free to contact Barbara or Betsy at 523-8884 for additional information.
The TEACHER SUPPLY DEPOT provides supplies and materials for teachers at no cost, and has a pressing need for a portable sound system. This would allow the staff to communicate in the facility while teachers are waiting to "shop" on our scheduled shopping days and would also be useful for the county-wide PTA meetings that are being held at the Depot facility. If you are able to meet this need, please contact Scott Bacon with the Knox County Office of Public Affairs at sbacon@icx.net.
The HIGHWAYS & BY-WAYS MINISTRY will be giving backpacks filled with necessities to the homeless within the next few weeks. They would greatly appreciate new or gently used backpacks and/or any of the following items: cough drops or syrup, lotion, toothbrushes, toothpaste, tissue paper, first aid kits, non-perishable food, can openers, candles, lighters, Bibles, blankets, socks, toboggans, gloves, ear muffs, and scarves, rain ponchos, camouflage tarps or any other camping supplies. Please contact preacherbobburger@yahoo.com or call 865-577-3939 for additional information.
Thank you so much for your consideration.
